Furiosa is unlocked as a Valiant Chronicle and Local Legend as soon as you get to talk to Katherine at Snezhnograd, and are free to explore Snezhnaya.

Exploration of Snezhnaya is locked until the completion of the Gunfire in the Silent Lands subquest of the Snezhnaya Archon Quest, Everwinter Without Mercy.

The objectives for Furiosa largely involve cutting the roots that she sprouts during certain attacks. Therefore, strong melee units, or units that can eliminate the vines simultaneously will do wonders for this battle.

General Strategy

Wait for the Roots to Sprout

Furiosa has two moves that sprout her roots: one is when she is preparing to launch a barrage of arrows down on you, and the other is whenever she burrows into the ground,

Everytime you see any of these roots manifest, make it a point to destroy them first. This will cancel whatever move Furiosa is planning, and render her vulnerable for a sizeable amount of time.

Be Agile and Move Around A lot

Furiosa is a ranged unit, which means that moving around a lot will be your main survival tactic. Stay close to her as she doesn't have much in the way of close-quarter combat.

This should be as straightforward as it gets. Defeating Furiosa allows you to achieve the first objective.

Destroy Furiosa's Roots Before the Arrow Shower

Interrupt the Arrow Shower

One can see this move coming if they see Furiosa stay in one spot and summon two roots on either side of her. She will then rain arrows all over the arena.

Destroy these roots to cancel this attack and render her vulnerable for a sizeable duration. Then, initiate your counterattack.

Destroy Furiosa's Roots While She is Burrowing

Interrupt Furiosa

Dealing enough DMG to Furiosa, especially after cancelling her Arrow Shower, will cause her to burrow into the ground and summon a root at her destination spot.

Destroy this singular root to force her out of the ground and render her vulnerable once again.
