Check on Valeriy
Walk towards where Valeriy is seated to inspect him. Here, you draw the conclusion that there was only one victim last night instead of two because the number of victims each night corresponds to the number of "deceased" around us, or option 4 from the choices.
Odette reveals her suspicions about Mitya to everyone, which results into Mitya sacrificing himself by going into the snowstorm.
Talk to Vodyanitsa
Approach Vodyanitsa, who can be found talking to Tonia in the couch area on the stage. Vodyanitsa sings a reqiuem to guide those they have lost back home. They then retire for the night after singing for a bit more.
Flee the Black Mist and Beware of Attacks From Night Prayer
After falling asleep, the Traveler finds themselves in the dream where they must flee the black mist again. This time, a guardian spirit who takes the form of Vodyanitsa is the Traveler's companion.
Other than the black mist, the Night Prayer is a malicious spirit who must be avoided by staying in the light. Make your way up while switching on the stone lamps along the way. Unfortunately, the guardian spirit uses too much of their power in saving the Traveler and fades away.
How to Avoid the Night Prayer in the Train
Upon entering one of the train cars, you will encounter the Night Prayer inside it, effectively blocking that route. You will need to go out and run on top of the train to proceed.
Open the Door
Unfortunately, the Traveler wakes up to Vodyanitsa dead, despite there being no more "deceased" among them. A lengthy cutscene will play, where Tonia and Chugunov's pasts are revealed. A knock will then interrupt the solemn atmosphere in the theater.
Opening the door reveals Mitya, who came back thanks to Vodyanitsa's reqiuem. Together, they come to the conclusion about the whole situation and this quest will end after waking up in the real world.
The Grim Reaper Incarnate
The person most likely to be the Grim Reaper Incarnate is Alyosha. This is due to the fact that he's the only one who went out to the snowstorm and came back without the help of Vodyanitsa's song. Alyosha was switched out after the performance, while he went out to investigate the snowstorm.
Each Day's Deceased in Order
| Day | Deceased |
|---|---|
| 1 | Alyosha |
| 2 | Soboleva Torgov |
| 3 | Kulish Rampana |
| 4 | Shram Valeriy |
| 5 | Vodyanitsa Tonia |
| 6 | Chugunov Odette |
You will be asked to select the deceased for each day. In Day 1, Alyosha was the victim alongside Dymov, the person who initially went out to get blankets. Soboleva and Torgov then died in Day 2 after the dream about the black mist. Kulish and Rampana met the same fate in Day 3.
Shram sacrificed himself after getting outed as a deceased person in Day 4, and Valeriy also died due to the black mist that same night. Vodyanitsa met the same fate on Day 5, while Tonia accepted her fate as a deceased person on the same day.
Chugunov and Odette are the ones who died on Day 6, shortly after the confrontation with Ronova started.
