Prism Slime is a new Valiant Chronicle Local Legend in Genshin Impact's 6.7 Luna VIII that is found at the south of Lunar Highlands in Frost Moon map. See Prism Slime's location, how to unlock it, how to beat it, all the rewards, and other information here in this guide!

South of Lunar Highlands
Prism Slime is found in Lunar Highlands of the Frost Moon. Use the South High-Transit station in Lunar Highland and jump mid flight to reach where the Prism Slime is.
How to Unlock Prism Slime
Complete Pioneers of Moon Gazing Quest Chain
You must first finish the Pioneers Quest, which first subquest of Moon Gazing, to have access on the area where it is located. Once accessed, you can walk northwest to challenge the legend immediately.

The Prism Slime's main gimmick is that it will absorb the energy of your active character and becomes immune to that element. Mavuika and Skirk teams are great against this since both them don't have standard energy systems. Therefore, the Slime cannot absorb their energies.
Otherwise, characters whose primary gameplay loop is using their Elemental Skill should also be viable here, such as Chasca and Sandrone. However, you must let the Slime absorb an element that isn't a major contributor to their damage.
In most cases, any team can actually be viable as long as you let it absorb an element that isn't necessary for the team's overall damage.

General Strategy
Let it Absorb Your Support's Energy and Element
Upon approaching, the Prism Slime will immediately start absorbing the active character's energy. It can do this twice to fill up the gauge fully, but you can also fill the gauge with elemental attacks to expedite the process.
The best strategy with this is to let it absorb an element that isn't a major contributor to the team's overall damage. For this instance, we let it absorb Nicole's element and energy since it doesn't contribute to Sandrone's team damage.
Characters like Mavuika and Skirk cannot have their energy absorbed. However, it will still gain immunity to their element. So the aforementioned strategy still remains.
Don't Let It Get Big for a Third Time
As mentioned before, it will absorb your active character's energy to fill its gauge, and once that is full, it will turn big and vulnerable to damage. In this state, all the immunity that it gained will be stripped away.
After a certain time, it will flatten itself before returning to its normal state that absorbs energy.
In order to complete all three objectives, you must defeat it before it turns big for a third time. In other words, the Prism Slime should only turn big twice during the fight.

Just like most overworld enemies, you will have to wait until the next day for Prism Slime to respawn. After defeating the enemy, you can fight it again after the next server reset.
