Note: This Tier List ranks Visions based on their performance up until Chapter 3 of the Main Story.

Firion, Tidus, Squall, and Terra for Offense

Firion, Tidus, Squall, and Terra provide the best Early Game Offense, making them especially great to use and build Mastery Ranks for.

Firion's Bladeblitz allows your character to deal damage to all enemies without consuming any MP. Firion's Abilities also specialize in Breaking, making him a strong Vision in most fights.

Tidus and Terra specialize in Physical and Magic damage, respectively. At MR 3, Tidus gains the passive First Strike, allowing you to quickly clear easy battles. Terra, on the other hand learns Magic Boost at MR 3, allowing her to buff her various Elemental Skills.

Lastly, Squall becomes a very powerful offensive attacker when he reaches Awakening Level 1, since it increases his Magical and Physical damage by 30%, along with learning Bravery to buff himself or teammates.

Warrior Of Light for Tanking

Warrior of Light is the Ideal vision for Tanks, since it has various active and passive skills that allow you to play defensively, or taunt for your allies.

Warrior of Light is the perfect Vision for Rain, since these tanking abilities only complement Rain's existing set of Skills.

Leah is the Best Healer

Leah is a must-have Vision on your party, especially during the early game, due to the amount of healing she can provide.

Even into the Mid-game, Leah scales well, especially when paired with Fina, since you can support your team effectively, especially Rain who will be doing most of the tanking.

Criteria for Tier Placings

Tier Criteria
S Tier S-Tier Visions provide the most value for your team, with little-to-no investment needed, amplifying your characters' existing playstyles, or compensating for their weaknesses.
A Tier A-Tier Visions are powerful Visions that can be equipped as alternatives to your characters, but can be powerful during the early game, or if you have raised their Mastery Levels already.
B Tier B-Tier Visions are less optimal compared to S and A Tier Visions, but still prove to be useful, especially when running specific builds or strategies.

S Tier Visions

Warrior of Light.pngWarrior of Light Role: Sentinel
・ Best Vision for Tanking, especially during Early to Mid-Game.
・ Learns various Offensive Skills that can switch from a defensive tank to a more offensive role through Break.
・ Extremely high value with Taunts and Team-Wide protection.
Firion.pngFirion Role: Breaker
・ Very powerful Breaker through its Spellblade Skills and Break passives.
・ Can quickly build Limit Burst through its passive that builds meter when breaking enemies.
・ Bladeblitz is an efficient skill for mob-clearing due to having no Mana Cost.
Tidus.pngTidus Role: Breaker
・ Alternative Breaker Vision that has a slightly weaker Break Power than Firion
・ Can deal more Physical Damage, which can synergize well with your Attackers.
・ First Strike allows Tidus to move first at the start of the battle, providing a slight advantage.
Squall.pngSquall Role: Commando
・ Specializes in both Physical and Magic Attacks.
・ Buffs both Physical and Magic Attack when Awakened to Level 1.
・ Improvement buffs Squall's damage and Break power by up to 50% in longer battles.
Terra.pngTerra Role: Commando
・ Specializes in Magic Attacks.
・ Has access to various Elemental Skills, allowing for more damage by using effective Skills.
・ Passive skills further buff magic damage, making it worth the investment when increasing Awakening Levels or Mastery Ranks.

・ Must-have during Early game due to heals.
・ Pass the Torch allows allies to act instead of Leah during her turn.
Onion Knight.pngOnion Knight Role: Commando
・ Specializes in Magic Damage, similar to Terra.
・ Deals more damage when HP is full, making it a powerful attacker when utilized correctly.
・Increases Magic Attack and MP when Awakened to Level 1.
Cloud.pngCloud Role: Breaker
・ Specializes in Critical Hits.
・ High Critical Hit rate allows Cloud to deal more burst damage, especially when using Limit Burst.
・ Increases Break Power and Damage when landing Critical Hits.
Noctis.pngNoctis Role: Commando
・ Specializes in Bonus Phase gimmicks through Warp-Strike.
・ Great hybrid attacker, who can also quickly build LB Gauge.

B Tier Visions

Vision Explanation
Tronn.pngTronn Role: Breaker
・ Breaker that specializes in using Magic Skills.
・ Outclassed by other Visions that specialize in Magic.
Zidane.pngZidane Role: Saboteur
・ Specializes in Disruption through application of various debuffs and ailments.
・ Requires a very niche playstyle, which is generally less optimal to builds that focus on dealing damage.
