What Happens When You Die?
Option to Retry, Load, or Return to Title
There are no penalites when you lose a battle. When the party falls, the game only gives you the option to Retry the Battle, Load a Saved File, or Return to the Title Screen.
Retry and Attempt to Flee if You Didn't Save Beforehand
If you died in a battle where you can flee and did not get a chance to save your game beforehand, it is recommended to retry the battle, escape, and hit save to ensure your progress is not lost.
How to Prevent Death
Level Up Characters
Fight battles to increase the character's level. This gives them access to new skills, as well as increased stats which in turn makes them deal and resist more damage.
Stock Up On Healing and Revival Items
Before engaging in combat, always make sure to have a sufficient supply of healing and revive items like Potions and Phoenix Downs. This is especially important in teams with no healers.
Use Healing Skills
Certain characters like Fina and Visions like Leah have access to healing magic. Use them when your characters' HP are low!
