FF Resonance Is Not a Gacha Game
Final Fantasy Resonance is a premium RPG with turn-based combat, an evolving job system, and a single-player story campaign. Unlike free-to-play gacha games, it is sold as a full game that players can purchase and experience without relying on character-pulling mechanics.
The game features Visions based on characters from previous Final Fantasy titles. These Visions let players learn abilities and customize their battle strategies, but they are part of FF Resonance's RPG progression system and not a traditional gacha character-collection system.
Players can also summon powerful Espers and develop their party as they progress through the story, giving them more ways to customize their combat strategies.
FF Resonance Does Not Use Brave Exvius's Gacha System
Although Final Fantasy Resonance is based on the first story arc of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, it does not carry over the original game's gacha-based character recruitment system.
Instead of summoning units through random pulls, players progress through the story and obtain Visions to customize their party.
