Physical Attack, Magic Attack, Speed, and AP are some attributes that affect your perfomance in battle in Final Fantasy Resonance (FF Resonance). Read on to learn what each Stat affects, and how to increase them.
All Stats and Attributes Explained
| Attribute | Explanation |
|---|---|
 Physical Attack |
This is the damage dealt with physical attacks (normal attack or skill). This stat is the result of combining the character's Strength and the equipped gear's stats. |
 Physical Defense |
Physical Defense affects the damage received from enemy's physical attacks. A stat resulting from adding Stamina of your character and the equipped gear's stats. |
 Magic Attack |
This is the damage dealt with magic attacks (spells). This stat is the result of combining the character's Magic and the equipped gear's stats. |
 Magic Defense |
Magic Defense affects the damage received from enemy's magic attacks. A stat resulting from adding the character's Spirit and the equipped gear's stats. |
 Sanctity |
Sanctity affects your healing magic (e.g. Cure), and Light magic attacks (e.g. Banish). |
 Strength |
A permanent character stat that affects physical attack. This increases each time you level up. |
 Stamina |
A permanent character stat that affects physical defense. This increases each time you level up. |
 Magic |
A permanent character stat that affects magic attack. This increases each time you level up. |
 Spirit |
A permanent character stat that affects magic defense and sanctity. This increases each time you level up. |
 Speed |
Speed affects the turn order. The fastest character in the field usually goes first, and the slowest goes last in the turn order. |
 AP |
AP affects the total cost of abilities you can equip. |
How to Increase Attributes
Equip Weapons
The main way to increase your Physical and Magic Attack is to equip strong weapons. We recommend buying new ones when you reach a new town, as they usually have higher stats than your current gear.
Equip Armor and Accessories
Similar to weapons, equipping armor and accessories will boost your stats—particularly your Physical and Magic Defense. Some armor and accessories also provide other attributes like sanctity or speed.
You can get new armor and accessories through shops or obtain them from opening chests.
Level Up Visions
One of the ways to level up your stats permanently is to level up the Mastery Rank of your Vision to get Mastery Bonuses.
Equip the Vision to your character and defeat enemies to gain experience. Leveling up the Vision's mastery unlocks new abilities and provides permanent stat boosts.
Buff During Battle
There are spells that will buff your character's attack or defense temporarily during battle. These buffs are temporary boosts and will only stay for a certain amount of turns unless you recast the buff spell.
Increase Stat from Dialogue Choice
There are certain moments in the story where you will be asked a question and you will need to choose one of the choices shown that will result into a permanent increase of one of your stats.
Note that the choices that appear when obtaining a Vision in a Sanctum does not affect your stats.
