How to Beat Gilgamesh
Cannot be Defeated in the Siren's Tower
Gilgamesh cannot be defeated during the first encounter with him in Siren's Tower because the battle is scripted to end abruptly.
After reducing his HP to around 50%, he will proceed to use Steal to take the Genji Gloves you got from the chest before the fight, and then he will flee the battle.
Avoid Using Too Many Resources
With this in mind, you'll want to make sure that you avoid using too much MP and items since you still need to scale to the top of the tower before you can leave and replenish your resources.
