Set as the prequel to the entire Metal Gear series, experience the origin of the legendary Big Boss through Naked Snake’s first mission in the series located in Soviet forests of the 1960s. Armed with only a knife and a tranquilizer, Snake must survive in the forest, infiltrate and sabotage a secret superweapon project, and eliminate his own mentor who has defected, in this tactical-espionage mission.

I enjoyed sneaking into different areas and eating animals to increase your stamina. It was really fun messing with the soldiers, like placing a magazine on the floor and slowly sneaking up behind them to either kill or incapacitate them. The story was good and I had a lot of playthroughs with the game.

Noel / 30s / Male

One of Hideo Kojima's best. An effective stealth game with a good anti-war message, lots of references to film and TV, an absurd sense of humor, and very memorable characters and dramatic plot points that make the experience kind of unforgettable.

Arguably the greatest sendoff to the saga of Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid 4 is a last hurrah for the legendary video game hero, portraying him as a grizzled soldier aged prematurely by genetic circumstance. Positing a future world where possibility is choked off by an exploitative war economy, Metal Gear Solid 4 pits Snake against his past and present one last time and brings a close to the long story of Big Boss and his progeny. It's also a showcase of excellent stealth gameplay and hyper-detailed mechanics that matches the ultimate soldier against cyborgs, genetically enhanced warriors and massive mecha bent on reshaping the world.

You can enjoy it in stealth missions, and you can also brute-force it in an aim showdown, which is nice for changing how you play. The story is interesting too, but you have to know the series, so opinions will probably be divided. The fusion of realism and near-future feel is an exquisite balance and very good (things like the digitization of war and weapons). Also, the online was a god-tier game. I got hooked enough to grind into the two-digit world rankings. It properly kept MGS's world while maintaining a balance you could grind. A game that became my gateway to getting into the FPS/TPS genre.

The fourth numbered entry in the Metal Gear series created by director Kojima and others who were once at Konami, a work where the series' complex story foreshadowing was paid off and the story more or less concluded. The series' mysteries are revealed, and it was an irresistible experience for series fans. However, perhaps to wrap up an overextended story, there are extremely many cutscene events, and nearly the whole thing is cutscenes, to the point that you can play a bit of game as a bonus, so that one point I thought was a downside.

The secret missing link in the Metal Gear Series (missing in part because the PSP wasn't the most popular platform), Peace Walker served as the template that informed the development of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and its prequel, Ground Zeroes. The gameplay format of recruiting new soldiers from the battlefield and building up the Mother Base headquarters. It also narratively formed the missing link between Metal Gear Solid 3, 4, and V, exploring the motivations of Big Boss and his companions as they separately struggle to live up to their impression of their mentor's legacy through various world-historical crises.

I have a lot of fond memories with this game. I played this a lot with my brothers and relatives. We would spend the whole day doing different kinds of missions, like tranquilizing a Rathalos in the collaboration mission. The gameplay was really fun, and there were a lot of weapons that were both cool and funny, like the “Box Tank,” which is basically a cardboard box that you can use alone or with a friend and fire explosives like a tank.

Ervin / 30s / Male

a technical achievement on the PSP. Also was widely innovative for a Metal Gear Solid game

Asassins Creed 2 is an action-adventure game that follows Desmond Miles' ancestor, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, as the latter seeks revenge for the death of his father and brothers. The game is set 15th-century Italy during the Renaissance featuring explorable cities in an open-world format. It followed two direct sequels, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Assassin's Creed: Revelations, exploring Ezio's later adventures in Rome and Constantinople. It has also set the gameplay standards for succeeding Assassin's Creed games before the series' soft reboot and shift to action-RPG starting with Assassin's Creed: Origins.

I played all Assassin's Creed games (except for Assassin's Creed Liberation HD) on the PS3 but the second game is the most memorable and what made me like the series.

Chad / 30s / Male

Ezio is the only assassin I played but his story was pretty cool

An easy nominee for one of the best games of all time, Metal Gear Solid practically invented stealth action, combining it with film-inspired flavor and inspired reflections on the roles of soldiers and genetic legacy. Metal Gear Solid introduced the gaming world to one of its most iconic heroes in the form of Solid Snake, and his confrontation with Liquid Snake and his minions on Shadow Moses is a timeless bit of gaming history, as are his battles against foes like Psycho Mantis, who went so far as to take insights from a player's PlayStation save data to attempt to rattle their resolve. Long before Metal Gear Solid 2 bent players' brains with meta-humor and fourth-wall breaking antics, Metal Gear Solid paved the way.

Batman: Arkham City is the sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum and takes the action-adventure game to an open world format set within Arkham City. The game improves on the stealth and "Freeflow" combat system from the previous game, allowing you to counter multiple attacks and attack while in the air. The story follows Batman as he uncovers a scheme created by Arkham City's facility warden, Hugo Strange.

Probably the perfect Batman game. Creative with its bosses, its dystopian world and elevating several Batman comics characters to new heights. This became the quintessential Batman game for a long time, it still outshines its sequel in several manners.

Vann / 30s / Male

Absolute banger. Like Knight, it captures the character well and perfects the free-flowing combat by incorporating Batman's gadgets with quick-fire features.

The ultimate meta-sequel to inaugurate an entire generation of consoles, Metal Gear Solid 2 mastered cinematic and surprising twists like no other, first by upending players' expectations of a sequel starring protagonist Solid Snake by switching him out with newly-minted supersoldier Raiden, then driving the audience and Raiden alike through a mind-bending exploration of themes of control, legacy, and the connecting qualities of the digital world. Metal Gear Solid 2 also introduced a new rogues' gallery of memorable villains and an iconic setting: The Big Shell oil rig. Future games both in the Metal Gear series as well as in the tactical stealth genre it helped define would be compared to Metal Gear Solid 2, and the series would spend its future titles reckoning with its legacy.

- The story unfolding with the dual protagonists Snake and Raiden is interesting. - There are many distinctive enemy characters like Fatman and Vamp, and taking them on is fun. - Deceiving enemies' eyes using cardboard boxes and lockers lets you taste a moderate tension, which is fun.

There are many memorable characters, and while I couldn't fully understand the story at the time, it gains depth as I get older. A masterpiece that should be played precisely because of the world we're in now.

Dishonored is more than just a violent stealth game; it was a redefinition of the stealth-action genre, allowing players to execute the most creative approaches to clearing a level. The game puts you in the shoes of Corvo Attano, the disgraced royal protector turned vigilante assassin for the Loyalist Conspiracy. Assassin is a term that can be used depending on how every player approaches their playthrough, as we can quickly learn that the best outcomes often come from the most creative approaches. Dishonored hammers down the lesson “Actions have consequences” through how your allies and the world react to your playstyle. As you progress through each level, leaving or not leaving piles of enemy corpses in your wake, the world changes alongside your choices, transforming into a grim reminder of your violent actions or a reflection of your efforts to maintain the moral high ground. Perhaps the greatest strength of the game is the freedom it provides to players and the proof that the stealth-action genre does not necessarily mean stealth-violence.
