MapleStory is teaming up with Blue Archive for a large-scale collaboration set to begin in Korea on November 19, 2026. Nexon Korea announced the crossover during the September 10 episode of Maple Now, where MapleStory Director Kim Chang-seop also offered some details about how the event will approach its content.
The collaboration will provide a new story that brings Blue Archive's students into the world of MapleStory. A teaser released through the official MapleStory channel offers the first look at the crossover's premise, though Nexon has yet to disclose the full story or explain how the two casts will be involved.
Kim described the project as comparable in scale to MapleStory's previous collaborations with Demon Slayer and One-Punch Man. He also indicated that the Blue Archive event will have its own structure, with its content more closely tied to the collaboration's story.
Fans Speculate on Which Blue Archive Students Could Appear
The announcement has also left players wondering how far the crossover will extend. Blue Archive fans have raised the possibility of MapleStory content appearing in their game and have begun speculating about which students could make the jump to Maple World. Fans have also started discussing how the characters could be adapted to fit the MMORPG's setting.
The pairing has also become a source of jokes across both communities, particularly around the two games' approaches to monetization. Players have speculated about the potential cost of collaboration items and traded ideas for characters they would like to see.
Those discussions remain speculative. Nexon has not announced the participating students, playable characters, quests, rewards, cosmetic items, or other event mechanics. The company has also yet to confirm whether Blue Archive will receive corresponding collaboration content.
What is confirmed, however, is that the collaboration will launch on November 19 for the Korean version of MapleStory. Nexon has yet to announce plans for other regions such as Global MapleStory, MapleStorySEA, and Taiwan's MapleStory, all of which have previously received the game's collaborations with Demon Slayer and One-Punch Man.
