Damage Build Explanation

This is a typical all-in damage build for Sp. Atk. Attackers.

  • Wise Glasses gives Skeledirge a large Sp. Atk. boost thanks to its percentage-based bonus.
  • Slick Spoon provides Skeledirge with HP, more Sp. Atk., and the ability to ignore a portion of its target's Sp.Def., leading to more damage.
  • Drive Lens further improves Skeledirge's Sp. Atk. whenever it knocks out opponents or gets an assist. It also provides a bit of cooldown reduction.
  • Choice Specs, Sp. Atk. Specs, or Curse Incense can be substitutes for any of the items.
  • Eject Button gives Skeledirge a repositioning tool for offensive and defensive situations.
  • X Speed can also work for the build to improve Skeledirge's mobility via movement speed.
  • The build's Boost Emblem loadout should consist of 6 Green Emblems for more damage and 7 Black Emblems additional cooldown reduction. This can be achieved by having at least three (3) Emblems that are both Green and Black.
  • Equip Emblems that improve Sp. Atk. to further boost Skeledirge's damage.
  • Attack, Critical-Hit Rate, Sp. Def., and Defense can be freely traded for the other stats.

How to Play Skeledirge

Stay at the Backlines

Since Skeledirge has no mobility outside of Battle Items and is an easy target to burst down, you should always stay at the backlines during fights so you can safely dish out damage from a distance.

Stay behind your allies, particularly Defenders and All-Rounders, then utilize Hyper Voice and Rousing Symphony's long range to hit opponents from afar.

If an opponent gets close, use Snarl to inflict fear and reduce their damage against you, allowing you to reposition and survive.

Snipe Opponents or Objectives from Afar with Rousing Symphony

Alternatively, since Rousing Symphony has global range, you can knock out low-HP opponents or steal objectives like Rayquaza from anywhere in the map. This does require perfect timing and aiming to pull off, but it can turn the tides of a fight or even the match itself to your favor.

Utilize the Buff

When you activate Rousing Symphony, nearby allies gain a buff that increases their damage against opposing Pokemon. Given this, it's best to use the move at the start of the fight to give your team a decent damage advantage.

Additionally, make sure to also hit as many opponents as possible with the wave to quickly chip off a portion of their HP.
