Damage Build Explanation

This is an all-in damage build focusing on maximizing Quaquaval's damage.

  • Weakness Policy gives Quaquaval HP and Attack stat, and its effect works well with the Pokemon's gameplay.
  • Attack Weight provides Quaquaval with a high flat amount of Attack stat when it's fully stacked.
  • Accel Bracer further improves Quaquaval's Attack stat when it knocks out opponents or gets an assist. It also gives a bit of cooldown reduction.
  • Razor Claw or Muscle Band can be a replacement for Attack Weight if you want a better basic attack damage.
  • Full Heal allows Quaquaval to remove disables and debuffs, and become immune to them for a short duration.
  • Eject Button or X Speed can also work, further improving Quaquaval's mobility during combat.
  • The build's Boost Emblem loadout should consist of 6 Brown Emblems for more damage and 6 White Emblems additional HP. This can be achieved by having at least two (2) Emblems that are both Brown and White.
  • Equip Emblems that improve Attack to further boost Quaquaval's damage output.
  • Sp. Atk., Sp. Def., and Defense can be freely traded for the other stats.

How to Play Quaquaval

Play Around Spinning Edge

Move Effect
Low Sweep ImageLow Sweep Moxie deals increased damage.
Liquidation ImageLiquidation Moxie grants a shield.
Carnival Splash ImageCarnival Splash Moxie deals increased damage and grants a shield.

Quaquaval's gameplay revolves around reaching max vibes and triggering Spinning Edge by attacking opponents or hitting them with its moves. Spinning Edge deals increased damage and/or grants Quaquaval a shield depending on the move that maxed out the gauge.

Ideally, you'd want to max out the vibes with Liquidation to generate a shield if you want to survive longer in fights.

On the other hand, you'd want to max out the vibes with Low Sweep for Spinning Edge to deal increased damage, which is useful for bursting down opponents.

But during improtant teamfights, maxing out the vibes with Carnival Splash would be the best option since you deal increased damage and also get a shield.

Moxie: Quaquaval Passive Effect and Cooldown

Use Liquidation Charges Wisely

Liquidation is a dash move that has two (2) charges, making it a great move for various situations. You can use Liquidation to set up Low Sweep and/or Carnival Splash, or just to stay on top of your targets. You can also use Liquidation defensively when you want to escape opponents or heal up to survive longer.

The key is to use each charge of Liquidation wisely depending on the situation.
Liquidation: Quaquaval Move Effect and Cooldown

Initiate Fights with Carnival Splash

Carnival Splash pulls in opponents towards Quaquaval and stuns them, making it great for initiating fights and setting up knockouts for your team. You just need to position yourself close to as many opponents as possible to get the most out of the effect.
