Invasive Diablos is found on the Colossal Dragon's Remains area which is found on the southmost part of Tarkuan. Players can reach this by going through a narrow gorge in the south then climbing up the cliff.
| Clue | |
|---|---|
| 1. | Landing an attack would be quite the ordeal. Can we discern any exploitable patterns? |
| 2. | Hm... If we what it from above as it shoots up from below, it's sure to get quite the shock! |
| 3. | Nothing pounds like a hammer! For a vertical strike, perhaps that technique would do... |
The clues related to Invasive Diablos involve a hammer weapon and a strong strike from above.

To collect the Invasive Monster Tracks and remain unseen by the Invasive Monster, players can ride a Nargacuga and use its Stealth Skill by pressing the the roar button. The Invasive Monster will now not be alerted as long as stealth is active.
Note however that players can only get a Nargacuga by beating Invasive Nerscylla.
The technique needed is the Meteor Strike skill. This is a hammer skill which is needed to progress the battle. You'll be able to learn about the skill requirement during battle where Rudy hints with a meteor skill.
Once the Invasive Diablos burrows, you'll see the ground create mini earthquakes. Time your Meteor Strike use on the ground to be able to hit the puzzle's prerequisite requirement.

| Below 50% | 4 | Maximum Horn Jab (Powerful AoE Attack) |
| 5 |
The Invasive Diablos in its Normal State will use Power Attacks during head to heads. When above 50% HP, it will use Beastly Roar which will stun all of the affected party members for a single turn.
However, when below 50% HP, the Invasive Diablos will start using Maximum Horn Jab, its strongest AoE attack.
| Turn | Skills Used |
|---|---|
| 0 | Burrow (Transition Move) |
| 1 - 2 | Earthquake (Strong AoE Skill) Will shift to the Invading State. |
The Invasive Diablos will not stay long in the Invading State, usually spending 2 turns to unleash Earthquake, a strong AoE attack that also reduces Speed.
| Turn | Skills Used |
|---|---|
| 1 | From the Burrowed State Earthquake and Invasive Helical Ambush (Strong Single Target Move) |
| 2 | Earthquake Will either shift to the Enraged State or back to the Normal state |
In its Invading State, the Invasive Diablos will create two dust mounds which players have to target and time using a Meteor skill from a Hammer weapon. It will also use Earthquake and Invasive Helical Ambush, a very strong single target move.
| Turn | Skills Used |
|---|---|
| 1 | |
| 2 | Focus Power and Maximum Horn Jab |
| 3 | |
| 2 | Focus Power and Maximum Horn Jab Will shift back to the Normal State |
During the Enraged State, the Invasive Diablos will use Speed Attacks during head to heads, even switching Vengeful Tackle to this attack type. It will also use its deadly combo of Focus Power and Maximum Horn Jab within a single turn. Watch out for when it has its HP below 50%, as this combo will happen more often even after it shifts back to its Normal state.
The Invasive Diablos will be at level 75 when fought and it will be a difficult battle as it uses consecutive strong attacks. Make sure to level up your party to at least Level 72.
EXP Guide: How to Level Up Fast
Soulseer Mizutsune
|
Lunagaron
|
Velkhana
|
The Invasive Diablos is weak to Water and Ice Elemental skills so bring Monsties like the Soulseer Mizutsune or the Lunagaron for the elemental advantage. Additionally, these Monsties can apply debuffs like Accuracy Down and Speed Down which is helpful in avoiding and countering the boss' skills.
Velkhana is also an excellent Monstie for this fight as it can unleash strong Ice Element skills alongside debuffs for Defense and Accuracy. However, this Monstie will be difficult to acquire as players will need to first defeat its boss.
Ogden makes for a great ally during this fight for his healing and buffing capabilities. Invite him with Plessie as his companion Monstie can also cover the boss' Ice and Water weaknesses with its skills. Keep in mind however that Plessie only joins his roster after finishing Chapter 4 of his Side Story.
List of All Characters and Companions
Similar to repelling the Invasive Diablos, make sure to prepare a Meteor Skill from a Hammer as this is a crucial part of the fight during its Invasive State. Time your skill to hit the dust mound to topple the Diablos when he's digging through the sand.
Players can also choose to skip this with a Kinship Skill but it will be at the cost of the topple.

Maximum Horn Jab is the Boss' strongest move and especially since it uses it more often after falling below 50% health. Skip these turns as much as possible with a Kinship skill to avoid damage. Players can also use Solar Cry to charge up the gauge faster.

Players need to stack up on Stamina and HP during and after the burrowing state because the Invasive Diablos will use Earthquake before your party is able to act. You can also choose to skip this turn with a Kinship Skill.
Save breaking the Horns after it reaches half of its health. It is because its strong attacks will become more frequent during this stage and breaking the horns will cause it to be stunned. This will give you a free turn and delay some of its big damage.

The Invasive Diablos will be very susceptible to Darkness so use Flash Bombs or Flash to take advantage of this. Players can also inflict Accuracy Down debuffs to increase the chances of the boss missing its attacks.

The reward for repelling the Invasive Diablos is a Tigrex Egg. This lets you use Habitat Restoration to be able to hunt more Tigrex and obtain more eggs in the game.
How to Get Tigrex and Weaknesses
After slaying the Invasive Diablos, players will be rewarded two weapon decorations, Spinning Meteor (DRG) and Wyvern's Fire (DRG).
List of All Decorations and Equipment Skills
You will also get invasive materials, like the Invasive Hide, which you can use to max out the level of your equipment each time you defeat the boss.
