Namielle starts at the Water Mantle state, visually it has a bit of a glow and its attacks are mainly water element. During the first 3 turns at the start of the battle, it has a different moveset but after switching back from other states, it will have a different moveset. Make sure you have a Power attack to counter its Technical attacks.
It will always transition to the Abyssal Charge state after it uses the Nami Torrent skill at turn end, interrupting it will only prolong the skill and it will eventually use it.

In this state, Namielle intensely glow while all of its attacks are now thunder element. It will start with a Glimmer Strike but you can interrupt it with a stagger, paralysis, stun, kinship skill, riding or surrogate gem. Make sure that you are ready to use all of these options especially against the two consecutive AoE attacks that are unskippable.
Most of the attacks Namielle does in this state are Speed attacks so counter it with Technical attacks. It also has a chance of using Nami Torrent and Nami Blast much earlier and will switch to Water Depleted state once it is done using Nami Blast at turn end.
| Turn | Skills Used |

| 2-3 | |
| 4 | Switches to Water Mantle state at the end of the 4th turn in this phase |
Namielle automatically goes to this state either by letting it use Nami Blast during the Abyssal Charge state or depleting all of its wyvernsoul gauge then toppling it. In this state, Namielle will keep using Nami Shot or Power Attacks so make sure that it is exposed in this state so that you can head-to-head all of its attacks for 4 turns.
After 4 turns in this state, Namielle will automatically switch back to Water Mantle state at turn end.

Once Namielle is below 50% HP, the only difference in this state is that, it will take one less turn for it to use Nami Torrent.

When it has less than 50% HP, Namielle will also have one less turn before it starts using Nami Torrent and Nami Blast consecutively.

| 3 | Switches to Water Mantle state at the end of the 4th turn in this phase |
During the Water Depleted state at less than 50% HP, it will also have one less turn of giving you attacks to head-to-head if it is Exposed.
Espinas
|
Malzeno
|
Arkveld
|
The best monstie to bring in this best are ones that can inflict status effects especially poison and can resist both water and thunder attacks. Espinas, Malzeno and Arkveld are great candidates as they can take the damage from Namielle without dying in one hit and can deal significant damage to it.
Make sure to configure their genes to either deal the most damage they can do or obtain the highest wyvernfell stat so that they can help take down the wyvernsoul gauge of Namielle.
|
|
Namielle is level 75 from the start until the end of the game. If you want to be at equal footing against it, make sure to fight it when you are level 65-70 so that you can deal significant damage to it and with enough preparation survive its onslaught of attacks.
EXP Guide: How to Level Up Fast
Namielle can deal water and thunder damage while being weak to fire attacks. Make sure to bring fire weapons especially Hammers as you want to focus on reducing the wyvernsoul gauge as fast as possible.
As for the armor, you have choices such as Arkvulcan Armor, Malzeno Armor or the Almudron Armor which all can resist water and thunder attacks, helping you survive and heal off the damage Namielle inflicts.
At this point of the game, you can use Ogden or Eleanor equipped with a Hammer to help you reduce the wyvernsoul gauge of Namielle. However, you need to complete the Chapter 2 side stories of Ogden and Eleanor so you can unlock their secondary weapon.
Healing is mostly useless in this fight as the boss is capable of reducing your health down to 0 instantly even with high-end equipment. Make sure to get Vital Essences to restore hearts and Surrogate Gem to gain a Critical Eye buff which lets you avoid all damage for one turn from Melynx Emporium. This will let you fix mistakes you do during the fight.
Another reliable way to deal damage without wasting numerous turns of dealing damage only, is to apply status ailments such as Poison or Blastblight which deals damage based on the percentage of the enemy's max health.
The only AoE attack you can interrupt is Glimmer Strike. Nami Torrent and Nami Blast will only prolong it, meaning that if it gets interrupted it will still use it the next turn. Save your Kinship or any skills that can interrupt it so that you can prevent Namielle from casting it.
Most of Namielle's attacks can be countered if it is Exposed therefore, it is best that you focus on strengthening your wyvernfell stats and use skills found in Hammers or buffs and debuffs such as Wyvernfell Melody found in Hunting Horns.
A unique thing with Elder Dragon fights is the ability to repel the boss if you are able to reduce a specific amount of health and then dying. You can then redo the fight and the enemy will have reduced health when you start the battle again.

You can spawn Namielle in the Mirror Lake in Azuria after you defeat enemies during night time. You can access night time after completing the main story, Endangered Species.

Even if you only repel or lose the fight against Namielle, you will still get exactly 1 Namielle Hide that you can use to craft its armor, Tentacle Armor.

Once Namielle is defeated, you can get its eggs in Mirror Lake, Azuria and be able to have a Namielle monstie in your party that you can use or spread across your habitats if you want to customize it.
| Skill | Effects |
|---|---|
| Heroic Testament and Follower Testament |
Increases maximum HP and damage dealt to enemies and reduces damage taken. |
If you managed to defeat Namielle from full health to zero in a single fight without repelling it, then you will receive a decoration called Heroic Testament while all your battle allies will receive a passive skill called, Follower Testament even if you repelled the boss.
If you already have one in your possession, it will upgrade the ones you have one level higher (S → M → L → XL) with each level increasing the effect of the skill.
List of All Decorations and Equipment Skills

Once you defeat Namielle, every egg obtained and hatched in Azuria will have a bonus increase in their Attack stat.
