How to Unlock the DLC Side Story

Install the DLC Content to Unlock Rudy's Side Story

Activate DLC

To access the DLC content, make sure to download and install it from your games platform. After successfully installing the DLC, there will be a prompt that the game has new content.

Progress the Game Until You Reach Galyad

Unlock Condition
Galyad Base
Complete the Main Quest Ena and set up a base in Galyad.
Location Galyad, Tarkuan

To play Rudy's Side Stories, you need to reach Chapter 3 and set up your base in Galyad to play this.

Legend Walkthrough

# Objective
1
Look for the Egg Quartz
Speak with Rudy at any base. After the cutscene, you will be teleported to the Colossal Dragon Remains Lookout Point. From there, several egg quartz locations will be marked on your map with yellow exclamation points.

Go to the location where the Egg Quartz with the Mysterious Life form is. This is the point that is northwest on the edge of the Tarkuan map in the Bountiful Dunes.

Defeat Deviljho
A cutscene will play once you reach the correct Egg Quartz. Inside the quartz is Rudy's forefather. After breaking open the Quartz, you will release the Deviljho.

Defeat the Deviljho, it starts with Power attacks, so make sure to counter it with Speed Attacks. It is recommended to use monsties like Pukei-Pukei and Espinas to inflict status ailments.

Check on Forefather
After defeating the Deviljho another cutscene will play. The quest will end after the cutscene.

Ring Walkthrough

# Objective

Investigate the POI
Speak with Rudy at any base. After the cutscene with Eleanor, you will be teleported to a Lookout point in Canalta Timberland. Use the Telescope to investigate the areas marked with a black exclamation point.

After investigating the points of interest, the location of the Ancient Berry, Gargwa eggs, and Slagtoth Milk will be marked by a yellow exclamation point on your map.

Ancient Berry Location
Teleport to Camp: Howlinyowl Forest and go towards the objective east of the camp. Ride a Flying monstie and use the updraft to reach the top of the tree and gather the Ancient Berry from the gathering point marked by the blue light.

Gargwa eggs Location
Teleport to the Mt. Canalta Catavan Stand and head north towards the objective at the peak of the mountain. Use a monstie with a breath ability and shoot the Gargwa to get the Gargwa eggs.

Slagtoth Milk Location
Teleport to Camp: Blessing Hill and go towards the objective northeast of the camp. While riding a monstie, attack the Slagtoth to get Slagtoth milk.

Return to Eleanor
After gathering all the ingredients, return to your base in Galyad and speak with Eleanor. After the cutscene, look for Ena near the base and speak with her; the quest will end after this.

Navirou Walkthrough

# Objective
1
Return to the egg quartz
Speak with Rudy at any base. After the cutscene, go back to the Egg Quartz from chapter one, northwest on the edge of the Tarkuan map in the Bountiful Dunes.

When you arrive, the quartz where the forefather is will be missing.

Search for the Kulu-Ya-Ku that took the quartz. Head towards the objective point near your current location.

catch the Kulu-Ya-Ku by hitting it with a breath attack when it lands from a jump. If successful, it will be dazed, and you can attack it with a monstie to start the battle.

Feed him donut
Fight the Kulu-Ya-Ku, after dealing enough damage, a cutscene will play, releasing Rudy's forefather to join the fight.

In the second phase, the Kulu-Ya-Ku will be holding barrel bombs. Give Rudy a donut to make all his parts more breakable. Breaking his parts will make the barrel explode and defeat the monster.

Ena and Navirou
After defeating the Kulu-Ya-Ku a cutscene will play and the quest will end.

Kinship Lesson Walkthrough

# Objective

Go to the Ancient Battlegrounds
Speak with Rudy at any base. After the cutscene, go to the Ancient Battlegrounds in Azuria. You can use the Catavan Stand to get there.

After the cutscene, investigate the danger in the Blightstone Woods.

Go to the Ashen Pass
Use the Ashenpass Entrance Catavan Stand to teleport to the objective location. Enter the Ashen Pass and go to the next marked location. Investigate the marks on the ground there.

Nergigante Mosnterpedia
After checking the tracks, open your monsterpedia and study the Nergigante's entry.

Continue down the Ashen Pass to the next objective. You will be blocked by a horde of monsters using a flying monstie and the updraft to fly over them.

Defeat the Nergigante
Once you reach the end of the path, a cutscene will play and the Nergigante will attack you. Defeat the Nergigante.

Make sure to have a thunder monstie equipped. Focus on its spike since they regenerate each turn, don't let it have three at any time. Use Accuracy Down and darkness to mitigate damage and have attack buffs ready to counter its debuffs.
5 Ride On
After defeating the Nergigante, complete the cutscene to end the quest.

Rudy Side Story Rewards

All Chapter Rewards

Chapter Rewards
1 Deadeye Ratha Power
Grants the strength of Deadeye Ratha, who once fought alongside a legendary Felyne. Kinship Gauge fills faster, and winning a Head-to-Head or landing a critical hit makes it fill even faster.
2 Razewing Ratha Power
Grants the strength of Razewing Ratha, who once fought alongside a legendary Felyne. Significantly increases Attack and Crit Rate, but also significantly increases damage taken.
3 Donut
Enhances Rudy's hidden powers. Deals thunder damage to one enemy and makes all parts easier to break.
Market Donut
Makes it possible to trade donuts at the Melynx Emporium.
4 Navirou Day
Fashionable garments for Rudy to wear, which even alter his voice at times. Go to the Chest at a base to change Rudy's outfit.
