How to Get: Defeat Malzeno and obtain its eggs in Sacrosanctum at Serathis.
✓ Massive Self Sustain With Bloodrite
✓ High Overall Stats

Malzeno can be obtained from Serathis, specifically Sacrosanctum after initially defeating it during the Main Story.

Its skills allow you to easily sustain throughout all the Elder Dragon boss fights, all the while dealing significant amount of damage. Furthermore, Malzeno's stat spread allows it to not only tank damage, but dish it out as well!.

2. Deviljho

How to Get: Make the Secret Deviljho in Canalta Timberlands retreat or Obtain its eggs in Serathis
✓ High Survivability and Damage
✓ Access to Wyvernsoul Def Down

Deviljho can be obtained from Serathis or by making the Secret Deviljho in Canalta Timberlands retreat if you want to acquire it earlier.

Like Malzeno, Deviljho possesses a means to self-sustain given its high HP and Dragon Eater skill. However, both its Speed and Defense are average, giving Malzeno that slight bump over it.

3. Stygian Zinogre

Monstie Details
Stygian Zinogre iconStygian Zinogre
Technical Icon Dragon Icon
How to Get: Mutate a Zinogre.
✓ AoE Kinship Skill
✓ Strong Against Dragons
✕ Very weak to Thunder

You can acquire a Stygian Zinogre by mutating its base variant. Its high attack stat in conjunction with its buffs and access to an AoE kinship allows it to dominate in a niche where there are multiple bosses like Aenshin.

However, its vulnerable nature means it is a glass cannon, meaning it might not survive 2 or more hits from boss monsters!
