Aventurine - Waveflair is an Elation DPS who relies on Fervor stacks to enhance his Elation Skill. He deals a lot of Elation DMG and can fit into both Elation and teams that dish out a lot of attacks.
While mainly an Elation DPS, he can utilize hypercarry teams with certain supports like Mortenax Blade or Tribbie. His Fervor mechanic pairs well with characters that can attack or move consistently, like Ashveil, Hyacine, and others.
He also scales with SPD, can buff his own and the team's CRIT DMG, and can buff his own SPD through his Ultimate. If your account lacks an Elation DPS or Quantum DPS, then Aventurine - Waveflair is worth pulling for.
Aventurine - Waveflair's Light Cone, Summer Rides the Surf, gives him a lot of CRIT Rate and access to the Updraft effect, which boosts his SPD. Since he has two forms of Elation Skills, he can also easily utilize the Uptrend effect, which boosts his Elation DMG.
The SPD boost alone can increase his DMG by a lot thanks to his SPD conversion, and the CRIT Rate buff makes him easier to build. Aventurine - Waveflair benefits greatly from his signature Light Cone, but also has 4-star options in Today's Good Luck and A Little Getaway.

As an Elation DPS, Aventurine - Waveflair's best Relic set is Ever-Glorious Magical Girl since it increases his CRIT DMG and allows the Elation DMG he deals to ignore a portion of the enemy's DEF.
Aventurine - Waveflair's best Planar Ornament is Punklorde Stage Zero, since it increases his Elation and CRIT DMG. He also wants a lot of SPD to convert it into Elation DMG and to hit high speed breakpoints.
| Stat | Recommended Value |
|---|---|
| CRIT DMG | 100% or higher (Before Combat) |
| CRIT Rate | As close to 100% (In Combat) |
| SPD | 160 SPD or higher |
For Aventurine - Waveflair's CRIT Rate, try to get as close to 100% CRIT Rate in combat. Aventurine - Waveflair gets a ton of CRIT DMG from his kit alone, so prioritize getting CRIT Rate substats on his Relics.
Aventurine - Waveflair needs a lot of SPD to utilize his Elation conversion, so having him at around 160 SPD is good for his turns and conversion. If you can give him more SPD than 160, then do so for even more damage.

| Alternative | Explanation |
|---|---|
Summeretto | Flex Replacement Robin - Summeretto can replace Mortenax Blade here since she can advance Aventurine forward and also refill his Energy. Her birds also attack frequently. |

Hyacine | Sustain Replacement Hyacine can also be slotted as a sustain due to her frequent attacks, healing, and cleansing. |
