The Legend of California Release Date and Time
Release Date to Be Announced
The Legend of California is still in development, and no release date has been announced.
However, the developers conducted an alpha playtest from March 26 to 30, 2026, allowing a selected amount of players to try the game. While still a work in progress, Kintsugiyama is aiming for the game to be ready for an Early Access launch in the future. The test was only available in English, had access to multiplayer, provided beginner tutorials, and gave an early glimpse into the island’s environments.

March 19, 2026
Kintsugiyama confirmed an Alpha Playtest to be available from March 26 to 30 of 2026. Players that get accepted or invited to try the game will receive a notification once they’re given access.
March 12, 2026
The Legend of California was revealed with a First Look trailer on developer Kintsugiyama’s official YouTube channel. The teaser presented an alpha version of in-game footage.
