BanG Dream! Our Notes Overview
BanG Dream! Our Notes is a rhythm and visual novel mobile game developed by FROMTOKYO and published by Bushimo (Bushiroad Games), serving as a spiritual follow-up to BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! for Android and iOS. Rather than continuing that game's roster, Our Notes centers on five newer bands from the BanG Dream! franchise: MyGO!!!!!, Ave Mujica, Mugendai MewType, and two brand-new bands created for the game, millsage and Ikka Dumb Rock!, totaling 25 playable characters.
Gameplay is split between rhythm performances and a fully voiced, branching visual novel story. In rhythm sections, players tap, flick, hold, and slide notes in time with a mix of original songs and cover tracks, with a new GEKISO LIVE system adding special high-intensity sections mid-song, alongside an Assist Mode aimed at newcomers to the genre. Cards obtained through the game's gacha system affect performance stats, following the structure of other rhythm gacha games. Outside of rhythm gameplay, the game's Cinematic Story System uses Live2D character models to retell MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica's existing anime storylines from a game-exclusive perspective, alongside entirely original stories for millsage and Ikka Dumb Rock!, and supports real-time multiplayer co-play for up to five players during performances.
