Screenbound Overview

Screenbound is a unique platformer adventure that will release on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It mixes 2D and 3D navigation as players explore vibrant worlds using a mysterious device known only as a Qboy.

Using the Qboy, players can shift their perspective seamlessly to navigate the world. Players can switch between a retro-styled 2D environment that harkens back to the NES era, and a full 3D world when away from the screen. In this 3D space, players can move in six directions instead of being limited to 2D movement.

Each perspective has its own set of mechanics. For example, spike traps are only visible when using the Qboy device and cannot be seen with the naked eye in the 3D world. Boss fights also make use of the Qboy device, requiring players to constantly swap between both perspectives to gain the upper hand.
