Level-5 confirmed that Professor Layton and the New World of Steam will release in late 2026 for the PlayStation 5 and Steam, on top of its initially confirmed Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 releases.

Level-5 showcased Professor Layton and the New World of Steam during their presentation and exhibit at Tokyo Game Show, encouraging attendees to try out the game at their booth. They also handed out various freebies to visitors.
