Outbound is set to launch on May 11, 2026 on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
Originally slated for release on April 23, 2026, the date was moved to May 14th, citing the need for more polish. The final release date was then announced for May 11th after Subnautica 2 announced their Early Access release on the same day.

Developer Square Glade Games proudly announced in a Twitter post that Outbound has received over 25,000 new wishlists during the weekend, crossing the 500,000 mark on Steam.
