Players with the Devout Edition can access the game on all platforms starting on August 17, 2026, at 9:00 A.M. ET / 6:00 A.M. PT, ahead of its official release. Mortal Shell 2 is a third person, single-player open world RPG by Cold Symmetry and Playstack, set to launch for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This stand-alone sequel expands on the world and mechanics of the 2021 game and introduces new characters, entities, and weapon types. As the Harbinger, players must face formidable foes by possessing fallen warriors called Shells.
