Kirby and the World Beyond Overview
Kirby and the World Beyond is the newest entry in the Kirby franchise, developed by Hal Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch 2. The game introduces a new character to the series, an unnamed purple-colored girl in a yellow poncho, whom Kirby must save from the clutches of King Dedede and his army of Waddle Dees. After the girl leads Kirby to an energy source that imbues the pint-sized hero’s sword with glowing green flames, stronger attacks, and the ability to split the sky, Kirby discovers that worlds exist beyond the shattered walls.
