June 7, 2026 | Fable Release Date Confirmed
During the Xbox Games Showcase, Xbox and Playground Games confirmed Fable's final release date of February 23, 2027, alongside a new trailer introducing the game's main villain, Isabel, played by Hayley Atwell. Pre-orders opened the same day across all three platforms.
May 29, 2026 | Fable Delayed to February 2027
Xbox Game Studios head Matt Booty announced that Fable would be pushed from its previously stated Fall 2026 release window to February 2027, citing a desire to give the game the dedicated moment it deserves
outside a crowded holiday release period.
January 22, 2026 | Fable Release Window and PS5 Version Announced
During the Xbox Developer Direct 2026, Playground Games and Xbox Game Studios revealed more information about the upcoming Fable reboot. The showcase confirmed that Fable would launch in Fall 2026 and also revealed a PlayStation 5 version, further expanding the game's platform availability.
