Slight Launch Day Delay
DragonSword: Awakening developer Hound13 announced on X (Twitter) and Steam on July 23, 2026, that the game will be delayed indefinitely due to the Steam app review not being finished on time. Producer JYJ promised to inform fans of the new launch schedule once they have confirmed it.
However, after approximately five hours after the intended official release time, DragonSword: Awakening launched. Hound13 CEO and Director Park Jungsic announced on the game's official X (Twitter) that they are now live on Steam.

DragonSword: Awakening Overview
DragonSword: Awakening is an anime-style open-world action-adventure RPG set in the continent of Orbis. Players take on the role of Lute, a young boy making his way to the eponymous kingdom, the first one built by humankind. Along the way, he meets the mercenary Johnny and the elf Castella, who quickly become entangled in his life and add a splash of color to his days.
However, in the distance, a shadow looms over the otherwise peaceful continent, threatening its very existence. Lute’s fate changes, and he is tasked with the ambitious quest of finding the Heroes of old and discover their secrets to take down the Dragon—will he and his comrades rise to become the Heroes to save the land from its demise?
