Coming to the NSW and NSW2 on July 10, 2026
During the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase on February 2026, Bandai Namco announced that Digimon Story: Time Stranger is coming to both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 this July 10, 2026. A demo is currently available for both consoles.
As with many console releases, the game is expected to launch at midnight local time, but we will update this article if any changes occur, so check back soon!

Digimon Story: Time Stranger is the latest mainline entry in the Digimon Story series, developed by Media.Vision and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Originally released in October 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, with Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions arriving on July 10, 2026, the game marks the series’ return after nearly a decade and introduces a standalone adventure that spans both time and worlds.
Set across modern Tokyo and the Digital World: Iliad, Digimon Story: Time Stranger follows an agent of the secret organization ADAMAS investigating supernatural incidents before becoming entangled in a crisis that stretches across the past, future, and the boundary between humans and Digimon. Built as a modern evolution of the Digimon Story formula, the game combines turn-based battles, extensive Digimon collection and training, expanded Digivolution systems, deeper customization, and a more cinematic presentation.
