Cairn Overview
Cairn is a standalone action-adventure survival game by The Game Bakers, best known for the 2020 RPG Haven. As pro-climber Aava, the player aims to reach the summit of the fictional Mount Kami, a previously unconquered peak, while uncovering traces of past expeditions.
It's a physics-driven climbing game that requires players to read rock formations and manage resources such as pistons, stamina, food, and medical supplies. Unlike more automated traversal systems in other adventure games, climbing is designed to feel tactile, with falls and misjudgments carrying consequences.

The Game Bakers has announced On the Trail, a series of free DLC updates for the climbing survival game Cairn, starting with the Deep Water
expansion in Summer 2026. This first update introduces "water soloing" mechanics across three new locations and allows players to take control of Marco for the first time.

Cairn’s release date was pushed back to Q1 2026. Developers, The Game Bakers, explained that they wanted to take the time to debug the game and optimize it well enough for release.
