Armatus Overview
Armatus is a third-person roguelite shooter developed by Counterplay Games and published by Fictions. It is set in a demon-infested version of a post-apocalyptic Paris. Players step into the role of the last supernatural warrior of an ancient order, tasked with navigating the city's corrupted ruins to find the "Sunless Gate," a passage that offers humanity its first hope for salvation.
Here, players use high-powered firearms and divine celestial abilities and force players to manage cooldowns and adapt to procedurally generated enemy encounters.
As a roguelite, the game has a synergy-based progression system. In death, players carry over currency and permanent upgrades to reifine their builds across multiple runs, which is further elevated by the game's gothic visual style.
