Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition is a real-time strategy game developed by World's Edge, Relic Entertainment, Forgotten Empires, and Climax Studios, and published by Xbox Game Studios for PC (Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Centered on real-life historical events and figures, the game unfolds across 10 civilizations, four distinct campaigns, and 35 missions, charting 500 years from the Dark Ages through the Renaissance.
Its upcoming major expansion, Raiders of the North, will introduce the Vikings and the Scots into the game in Q4 2026. Two new environments based on the Scottish Highlands and northern tundra will also be added, along with many new gameplay features, such as expanding the Crucible mode with new missions.
