Active Matter Overview
Active Matter is a hardcore, tactical PvPvE extraction shooter developed by Matter Team and published by Gaijin Network Ltd. It combines realistic gunplay, featuring ballistics, heavy inventory management, and modular weapon attachments, with sci-fi survival horror.
During raids, players deploy solo or in small squads into instanced zones to complete objectives, loot gear, fight mutated horrors, and outmaneuver rival players. It features physics-bending environmental hazards like localized gravity wells, inverted gravity, and shifting terrain that drastically alter cover and sightlines mid-firefight.
Dying in a raid causes you to lose most of your gear and return to your base via the time loop, making successful extraction at specific portals the primary goal of every run.
