Use Lightning and Ice Units in the First Half

Crossing the Afterlife First Half
Attack the Automaton Spiders First
Prioritize the Automaton Spiders enemies first since they can deal damage to other enemies upon being defeated and prevents them from exploding onto your team.
Take Out Flame Reaver's Vessels
During Wave 2, focus on taking out the vessels to prevent the Flame Reaver's heavy hitting attacks. Defeating the vessels first will also damage the Flame Reaver.
