Chasing Kaleidorider Gets 2M Pre-Registrations Worldwide, Doki Test Sign-Ups Available
Milestone Comes With Close Beta Applications and a Giveaway
Chasing Kaleidorider celebrates reaching 2 million global pre-registrations, and the team announced on its official X (Twitter) that Doki Test sign-ups opened on October 22. It's a closed beta with a limited player pool, and anything earned during the test, such as character progress and collected items, will be erased once it finishes instead of being kept for the full release.
Interested players can apply through a recruitment questionnaire, while regular pre-registration continues on the game's official website. The test's start and end dates haven't been revealed, so players will have to keep an eye on the official pages for updates.
The studio is also running a repost giveaway. Following the official @ChasingKaleidorider account and reposting the announcement enters players into a draw for ten $15 Amazon gift cards, with the giveaway running from October 22 to November 5. Fans have been signing up and hoping to be picked, while some asked what's new compared with the previous beta test.
How to Apply and What to Expect
The Doki Test runs on iOS, Android, and PC. On the form, applicants can choose either Android or iOS as their mobile device, and those accepted into the mobile test also receive the PC version automatically, with progress synced across both devices. The test supports five languages for text (English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese), and voiceovers only cover Japanese or Chinese.
However, applying doesn't secure a spot, since the team is only accepting a limited number of players and will go through every application. Selected players will receive an email, and they'll need to sign in with the same email they used on the form. After the recruitment period closes, the official website will also add a page where applicants can look up whether they qualified.
Other standard beta rules also apply. Handing off, selling, or sharing test access or installation files is banned, and anyone caught will lose access, with violations possibly leading to legal action. Streaming, recording, and posting screenshots are allowed, but the studio says it will take action against leaks, such as data mining the client or spreading content that hasn't been released. Since the Doki Test is a work in progress, it is important for players to note that the visuals, text, voice work, and performance could look different in the final version of the product.
