Lilith, Belial and Mephisto Lead a Six-Outfit Collection
Dead by Daylight is bringing Sanctuary’s demons with a six-outfit Diablo collection scheduled for October 20. Developer Behaviour Interactive first revealed the collaboration during the game’s tenth-anniversary celebrations in June, then teased its arrival with a post on X (Twitter) on October 19.
The collection turns the Killers side into Diablo villains: The Artist becomes Lilith, The Dredge becomes Belial, and The Nurse takes on Mephisto’s appearance. Notably, Lilith is a Visceral outfit with unique menu animations and a custom Mori (special execution). In a separate X post on October 21, the studio confirms that that the Diablo 4 voice actors Caroline Faber, Steve Blum, and Ray Porter reprise their roles as Lilith, Mephisto, and Belial, respectively.
For the survivors, their cosmetics represent Diablo 4’s playable classes: Zarina Kassir receives a Sorceress outfit, David King becomes a Barbarian, and Taurie Cain takes on the Necromancer look. Both collections are visual transformations for existing characters, not a full Chapter, so they don't add Diablo class abilities or introduce the Prime Evils as separate Killers with original powers.
The Diablo Collection is the headline release in Dead by Daylight’s wider October of Horror lineup, a month-long Halloween rollout spanning new cosmetics, crossovers, and a seasonal event. After the game’s divisive Alien-inspired September update that brought the Xenomorph Queen into DBD’s 2v8 game mode, Behaviour Interactive looks to turn things around with this latest crossover. It began on October 1 with Hallowed Blight outfits for Jason Voorhees, The Houndmaster, and The Knight, giving Jason his first Blighted appearance since he joined the game in June.
On October 6, the NieR:Automata Collection followed, introducing Legendary 2B and A2 outfits for Feng Min and Yui Kimura, along with an Emil-inspired look for The Legion. Additionally, the Stranger Things characters Vecna, Nancy, and Steve are getting alternate costumes and a themed mode.
Fans Praise Lilith, But Wanted a Full Diablo Chapter
Fans on social media like X and Reddit have a lukewarm reception to the collection, with The Artist as Lilith the only standout addition. However, fans are mostly disappointed with her accompanying Mori, calling it anticlimactic because the elaborate buildup of her execution ends with her simply stabbing the Survivor with the spikes on her wings. Meanwhile, The Dredge as Belial received some praise for its design, but its biggest criticism is that the skin makes the character unrecognizable to both franchises, as fans couldn’t recognize the Killer or immediately associate it with Diablo.
Mephisto has received the most polarizing response of the three, as its critics are less convinced by how the Lord of Hatred has been adapted to The Nurse. Her hunched, floating posture can make his body look awkwardly draped over the existing character, making her look asleep on the job. Additionally, Mephisto’s extra arms seem to add little to her animations.

Meanwhile, the Survivors have been discussed less because they lack recognizable personalities. The decision to theme their skins around classes rather than specific Diablo characters makes them feel more like generic fantasy outfits, especially since the game already has similar medieval and fantasy-themed cosmetics. Fans suggested possible characters from the three-decade-long franchise, including the iconic Deckard Cain, Diablo 3 companion Leah, original protagonist Prince Aidan, and the Angel of Justice Tyrael.

Beyond the individual designs, a recurring disappointment is that Diablo received a cosmetic collection rather than a complete Chapter. As other players pointed out, a full Diablo Chapter could have given someone like Diablo, Baal, or the often-requested Butcher an original power and perks instead of applying their appearance to an existing Killer. Chapters also usually include a new map, and Dead by Daylight fans were hoping for one based on Diablo’s New Tristam or some sort of early teaser for the upcoming Diablo 5.
