Combat and World Exploration Featured
Set in the Phantom World,
Phantom Blade Zero blends traditional Chinese Wuxia lore with steampunk and mechanical prosthetics to form its Kungfupunk
aesthetic. As highlighted in our Phantom Blade Zero Hands-On Preview, players step into the shoes of Soul, an elite assassin framed for his master's death with only 66 days left to live. Combat is fluid and fast-paced, pairing dual-blade combos with secondary Phantom Edges
such as hand cannons and heavy axes that can break enemy guards and open up traversal paths.
The game puts a strong focus on action-movie choreography. In our Phantom Blade Zero Developer Interview, Director Qiwei Soulframe
Liang shared how the team worked with martial arts masters on motion capture to achieve authentic, high-speed combat. Players can also expect more than 30 weapons and over 20 Phantom Edges to experiment with across the world of Wulin, along with more than 50 bosses in its semi-open world.
