Ocarina of Time Remake Gets Two Commercials Ahead of Its November 5 Release
Ocarina of Time Remake Recreates Ganondorf’s Dramatic Boss Fight
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake has received two official commercials ahead of its release. Posted on Nintendo Japan’s X (Twitter) account on October 16 and detailed on their website, the first video, titled "Ocarina," revisits footage previously shown in trailers. However, the "Battle" commercial features mostly new footage, offering a closer look at Ganondorf and showcasing the visual overhaul for several returning enemies.

The 30-second Battle commercial opens with Ganondorf playing the pipe organ. Close-ups of his fingers moving across the keys lead into a wider shot of the towering instrument. The footage appears to recreate the original N64 game’s pre-battle cutscene at the top of Ganon’s Tower, where Link discovers Ganondorf playing the organ immediately before their fight. The villain appears again later in the commercial, raising his hand as the Triforce mark glows with purple energy.
New Footage Teases A Few Bosses Like Morpha and Dark Link
Nintendo shows new footage that wasn't present in our last trailer breakdown. The new boss footage includes Morpha, the Water Temple’s boss, showing its watery tentacle wrapping around Link and lifting him off the platform, with the creature’s red weak spot visible inside the translucent water. Dark Link also appears in the Water Temple’s mist-covered arena, dodging Link’s sword thrust with a front flip and landing on top of the weapon.
Bongo Bongo gets a brief combat showcase of its own, with the Shadow Temple boss’s enormous disembodied hands attacking across the drum arena as Link dodges. The montage also includes Poe hunting on horseback at night in Hyrule Field, where Link can bottle and sell their souls for a hefty amount of Rupees in the original game.
Beyond the enemy encounters, the commercial shows Sheik being carried away by a shadowy attack. In the next shot, Link protects Sheik, sword drawn, as nearby structures burn. Finally, the closing sequence shows Link and Navi looking toward the imposing, burning castle as dark clouds gather above it.

Official commercials for the remake join the recent press preview, giving excited fans more snippets of the upcoming remake. In just three weeks, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time launches on November 5, 2026, exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. Pre-orders for the Zelda 2 anniversary Switch 2 and accompanying Amiibo are up now.
