Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is Bringing a Guest Fighter From Tekken 8
Fans Speculate It Could Be Reina
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves has teased a Tekken 8 guest fighter, but SNK has yet to reveal the character's identity. On October 8, SNK posted a 39-second teaser on its Twitter account titled "When Destinies Collide," confirming a crossover between the two fighting game franchises. The video also featured Fatal Fury’s Nightmare Geese and Rock Howard, with a mysterious silhouette appearing behind the latter.
While the teaser doesn’t explicitly reveal who might join the roster, fans in the comments have already all but confirmed it's Reina, the newest member of the Mishima family. Beyond the familiar bob cut and matching silhouette, the teaser also features music from Tekken 8’s Colosseum stage, where Reina fought True Devil Kazuya during the game’s story mode.

As for the timing, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is currently in its third DLC season: Destined for Revenge. Season 3 has already introduced Rick Strowd, Duck King, and Kim Kaphwan, with Tokyo Revengers characters Manjiro "Mikey" Sano and Ken "Draken" Ryuguji arriving on October 22, alongside the game's Nintendo Switch 2 release. Laocorn will follow in November, leaving one mysterious seventh and final Season Pass 3 character scheduled for December, with the speculated Reina a strong candidate for that final slot.
Fatal Fury Adds a Tekken Character Nine Years After Their Last Crossover

This wouldn’t be the first time these two fighting game franchises have crossed paths. Back in November 2017, Tekken 7 welcomed Geese Howard as a playable guest fighter, bringing his signature moves and the Howard Estate stage. Nine years later, SNK is ready to return the favor by bringing a Tekken character into its newest game, and it's fitting that Geese is there to welcome them.
City of the Wolves has already brought in many fighters from different universes. Its roster already features Street Fighter's Ken and Chun-Li, Fist of the North Star's Kenshiro, and Art of Fighting veterans Mr. Big and Mr. Karate, plus the aforementioned duo from Tokyo Revengers. Real-life personalities like football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and DJ Salvatore Ganacci have also joined the roster.

For now, Reina remains the strongest candidate for Tekken 8's mysterious guest fighter. Fans will have to wait for SNK's official confirmation before putting the speculation to rest. In the meantime, check out our review of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves below:
