The God Tree Guard is the best armor in Beast of Reincarnation because it has the highest defense stat and 6 Spirit Stone Slots that can be augmented. The Ornate Robe is a good alternative for stealth-focused combat, having good defense while maintaining low enemy awareness. Silver Cuirass is decent until you can get either of these armor pieces.

Sporting the highest defense stat in the game with 6 Spirit Stone Slots and innate Poison and Acid resistance, God Tree Guard is the most durable armor in the game. Though it has high enemy awareness, this makes it ideal for elite enemy encounters and boss fights where stealth is not an option.

The Ornate Robe is considered the best stealth armor in the game, as the armor pieces after it all have medium to high enemy awareness. It also has the highest defense out of all stealth armor, with Flame and Lightning resistance to boot. Its 5 Spirit Stone Slots give it some versatility since it can be augmented with Spirit Stones.

The Garb of Tranquility may only have 4 Spirit Stone Slots, but it makes up for this by having nonexistent enemy awareness. This is especially useful for stealth combat, as it will be much easier to sneak around enemies without getting caught. It also has some Acid resistance and slight Lightning affliction, making it a useful pickup.

Floral Wraps is also a great option, sporting higher defense and 6 Spirit Stone Slots with low enemy awareness and Acid resistance as well. Its high defense makes it a valuable pickup in the early game.

The Ornate Robe can be considered an upgrade to Dance Attire. It not only has higher defense but it also sports the same low enemy awareness and innate Flame and Lightning resistance at higher values. Its only downside is that it has one less Spirit Stone Slot than Dance Attire, but its stats and resistances more than make up for it.

Though its enemy awareness is very high, the Amber Breastplate compensates by having high defense (the highest at the point where it is found) and 6 Spirit Stone Slots. It also has the highest Acid resistance out of all the armors, making it effective to use against enemies that inflict corrosion.
