How Do Skills Work?
Grants New Attacks, Moves, and Buffs
Skills provide both Emma and Koo new moves to defeat enemies, strengthen their attacks and weapons, or grant them additional stats. Emma's skill tree includes new Blade Arts she can learn, new abilities that adds to her utilities, and buffs that gives her an offensive and defensive edge. Koo's skill tree includes Mods that he can equip to his Bloom Arts to add special effects that can help him or Emma during challenging encounters.
Unlock and Enhance Skills by Spending Skill Points
Skill Points (SP) are used to unlock skills in the Skill Tree. Emma and Koo each have their own separate Skill Tree with unique abilities. However, they share the same pool of SP, so budgeting your points carefully between them is a must. You can earn SP by defeating enemies around the area.
Unlocking the skill nodes at the root of the Skill Tree also requires enhancing the three Main Skills. Meanwhile, the skill nodes on the branches (flower nodes) are unlocked as you progress the game and only require SP to upgrade.

Emma's Skills Can Be Used Immediately
Upon learning a Skill or Blade Art, Emma can use it immediately by performing the required combo or pressing the corresponding button. Skills that grant buffs also take effect immediately, unless they require specific conditions to be met.
You can view the list of Skills Emma has learned by navigating to the Equipment tab and selecting View Skills below the Spirit Stone slots.
Equip Koo's Mod Skills Into a Bloom Art
Although most of Koo's skills can be used immediately after being learned, Mods must first be equipped to a Bloom Art. Bloom Arts are the abilities that Koo can use in combat, and a Mod grants additional effects whenever Koo uses that Bloom Art.
Each Bloom Art can only have one Mod equipped, and a Mod cannot be equipped to more than one Bloom Art at a time.
Equip a Mod Skill in the Equipment Menu

| 1 |  To get a Mod skill, spend SP to unlock one from Koo's skill tree. |
| 1 |  Equip the Mod into a Bloom Art by heading to the Equipment menu and switching to Koo's equipment tab. |
| 2 |  Select any Bloom Art from this list to open the Bloom Arts menu. |
| 3 |  In the Skill Mods menu, select the Bloom Arts you would like to modify. This will open a dropdown of all the available Mods you can equip. |
| 4 |  Select the Mod you would like to equip from the list. You also have the option to remove a Mod from a Bloom Art by selecting None. |
| 5 |  Take note that you can only have one Mod skill equipped on each Bloom Art. Mod skills cannot be equipped to more than one Bloom Arts at a time. Additionally, equipping a Mod increases the FP Cost to cast a Bloom Art. |
