How to Reach High Places

Use Emma's lift and hookshot abilities to reach high places in Beast of Reincarnation. Read on to learn how to use Lift, Hookshot, and Jump Points to reach high places in-game.

Use the Lift Ability to Extend Emma's Hair

Use Emma's Lift ability to reach higher elevations. Hold X (PS5), A (Xbox), or Space (PC) to start lifting Emma up by her hair. Stop holding the button to quickly dismount once you've reached your destination.

Note: The lift ability is influenced by additional directional inputs. If you input forward, left, or right movement, Emma's hair will also slightly move in that direction (on top of ascending).

Use Hookshot to Leap Up to Jump Points

Certain structures in the game will flash with a blue symbol, indicating that you are within view of a Jump Point. Press R2 (PS5), RT (Xbox), or R (PC) to use your Hookshot ability in order to grapple up towards the jump point.

However, do note that Hookshot can only be used if there is a jump point present. If a jump point is marked by a red icon, it means you have no clear line of sight which prevents Emma from grappling on to the jump point.

Create Your Own Jump Points by Extending Emma's Hair

If you find yourself lacking the horizontal distance to reach a higher elevation, you can extend Emma's hair by holding down R2 (PS5), RT (Xbox), or R (PC). This creates a bridge that allows you to access hard-to-reach areas and jump points.
