Crimson Desert's Charting the Unknown DLC Delayed by Two Weeks to October 29
Delayed for More "Polish and Stability"
Pearl Abyss has delayed Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown by two weeks. The DLC was previously scheduled to launch on October 15, 2026, but will now release on October 29, 2026.
The delay applies to the DLC's release schedule across regions, with Pearl Abyss confirming that the expansion will launch on October 29 at 3:00 p.m. PT / 6:00 p.m. ET in North America. The Asian release will follow on October 30 at 7:00 a.m. KST/JST.
According to Pearl Abyss, the additional development time is needed to deliver a more polished and stable gameplay experience. The team said it will use the extra two weeks to further refine the DLC's content before release.
The developer also apologized to players who were looking forward to returning to Pywel with the expansion and said it looks forward to seeing players in the new content on October 29.
Charting the Unknown Adds New Adventures to Pywel
Charting the Unknown is the first DLC for Crimson Desert and expands Pywel with new areas to explore across its lands and seas. The expansion also introduces underwater exploration and sailing, giving players new ways to discover the world.
Pearl Abyss has previously showcased Kliff sailing across the sea and diving underwater, teasing new locations and adventures beyond the game's existing world. Pre-orders also include exclusive diving outfit bonuses for Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane.
The DLC has already generated plenty of excitement among players. Reactions to its original announcement included fans praising the sailing and underwater content, with some particularly excited to explore Pywel's seas.
That excitement has largely carried over to the delay, with many players saying they are willing to wait two more weeks if it means getting a more polished experience. Some even joked that a two-week delay is nothing compared to the much longer delays seen in other games.
There are still some players who are disappointed, particularly those concerned about the new release date overlapping with other games. Others have used the delay to ask Pearl Abyss for improvements to the base game, including better performance.
For now, players will have to wait a little longer before they can dive into everything Charting the Unknown has in store. The DLC is now set to launch on October 29, 2026, giving Pearl Abyss two additional weeks to polish the experience before sending players back into Pywel.
