Synergy Skill Effect
Omega's Rod has a unique weapon skill called Synergy, which increases the affinity (or critical hit rate) for all allies and yourself after a Rising Spiral Slash.
Unique OMG Kinsect
A new Kinsect called OMG can also be purchased separately from the Smithy after defeating Savage Omega Planetes. It does not come with Omega's Rod once crafted.

Complete Planetes Protocol (Savage) Event Quest
You can get the Omega Attire, Omega's Sword, and Omega's Rod from the permanent event quest called Planetes Protocol (Savage). You will need to be HR 100+ to challenge the Savage version of Omega Planetes.
