Into the Fire Overview
Into the Fire is an extraction-survival game from Starward Industries that places players on a volcanic island devastated by a massive eruption. As a specialist with "retro-futuristic" firefighting tools, players venture into disaster zones filled with lava flows, collapsing structures, deadly fire anomalies, and mysterious fire demons to save stranded people and animals.
Rescued survivors then contribute to the growth of the player's hub settlement, unlocking new equipment, upgrades, and story progress. But each mission is a "race against time," as the ever-changing environment reshapes escape routes and hazards.

June 11, 2026
Into the Fire held public playtests that ran from May 28th all the way to June 10th of 2026. The developers expressed their thanks on a public post for being able to collect data and feedback from the players who participated.
March 2025
Dante’s Ring was renamed "Into the Fire." In the same month, the game was revealed and featured for the first time at the Triple-i Initiative showcase.
