Lu Bu as Hidden Demo Boss
Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember features the legendary Lu Bu as a hidden boss in the game’s alpha demo version. Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo developers revealed during the Tokyo Game Show 2026 livestream on September 17 that players can encounter this formidable opponent after clearing the initial story segment.
Aside from the "Flying General", Wo Long 2 will also see the return of several characters from the game’s prequel, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. This includes major warlords and faction leaders such as Cao Cao, Liu Bei, and Sun Quan, who continue to drive the game’s narrative.
Character Creation Contest
Beyond the extended look at the game’s combat and bosses in the alpha demo, Wo Long 2 also features a Character Creation Contest, where six lucky players' character designs will be featured as official appearance templates in the full game. Additionally, these winners will also have their names included in the game’s end credits.
To enter, players must download and play the Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember alpha demo on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or Steam. Once in the game, they need to open Character Creation, navigate to Save/Additional Features, select Generate/Manage Character Creation Codes, and generate a custom code. Next, players must take a screenshot that clearly displays both their character and the highlighted code. Finally, they need to follow Wo Long 2’s official X account and share the screenshot using the hashtag #WoLong2Code.
Exclusive Merch at Tokyo Game Show 2026
At Tokyo Game Show 2026, Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is featured prominently at the Koei Tecmo Games booth in Makuhari Messe. Attendees can try a hands-on demo set in the Changban stage that culminates in a boss fight against Cao Ren, whose large-scale statue is also on display at the exhibit. Everyone who plays the demo receives a lenticular badge, while players who successfully defeat Cao Ren win an exclusive original T-shirt.
