Tides of Annihilation at Gamescom 2026

First Demo Coming to Cologne

Tides of Annihilation, Eclipse Glow Games’ upcoming single-player action-adventure game, will get its first public hands-on demo at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany, from August 26 to 30, 2026. Guests attending the show can try the demo at Hall 6, Booth B-050 inside Koelnmesse, ahead of the game's eventual full release. Before the show floor even opens, Eclipse Glow Games will be debuting a new trailer for Tides of Annihilation during gamescom's Opening Night Live broadcast on August 25.

To mark the announcement, Game Director and Co-CEO Ary Chen and Lead Producer Kun Fu have extended an invitation to anyone planning to attend. Chen described Gamescom as a major milestone for the team, since it's the first time the game is being opened up to a global audience of first-time players. After years of development, Chen said that the team is excited to finally share the playtest and is "looking forward to seeing their reaction."

According to the studio, the demo offers a "deeper look at Tides of Annihilation," full of branching paths that change up both exploration and combat as players progress. Attendees will also get to walk through some of the game's key locations and "epic set pieces."

About Tides of Annihilation

tides of annihilation mirror combat

Tides of Annihilation drops players into a modern-day London twisted by an invasion from another world, drawing inspiration from Arthurian legend for its setting and story. Players step into the shoes of Gwendolyn, who is voiced by Jennifer English, famous for roles like Shadowheart in BG3 and Maelle from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Gwendolyn is the only known human to survive the invasion, who gains the ability to command the "Legendary Knights of the Round Table." Fueled by a need for revenge and the hope of finding her missing sister, she sets out to take down the demi-gods responsible, with her spectral knights fighting by her side.

Combat features a dual-knight system, letting players switch between more than ten different knights and use their powers for "dual-force combos." The city is also home to Giant Knights that wander the streets, serving as obstacles players can interact with and eventually battle.

The Neo-Medieval action-adventure comes from Eclipse Glow Games, a Chengdu-based studio with a team of over 150 developers who've previously worked on franchises like Yakuza, For Honor, Persona, Assassin's Creed, and Prince of Persia. Tides of Annihilation is currently in development for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. To stay up to date with the latest information about the game, check out the page below:
