First Live Experience Coming this Summer
Tides of Annihilation, the upcoming dark fantasy action-adventure, is set to have a hands-on event this summer. In a behind-the-scenes video posted by developer Epic Glow Games, the upcoming live experience will showcase the game’s "Neo-Medieval" combat for the first time in public.
According to Producer Kun Fu, the team is taking a two-fold technical approach: pushing the limits of the game's visuals while striving for optimal performance. "We want to ensure that every player, regardless of their setup, experiences a smooth and immersive journey in our re-envisioned modern Arthurian action-adventure," he said.
The developers promised to share more information about the upcoming hands-on event’s schedule, location, and other details on the game’s official social media channels soon.
Partnering with Unreal Engine and NVIDIA

The latest behind-the-scenes look from Epic Glow Games featured the project’s technical evolution. To anchor the game’s ambitious visual fidelity with rock-solid frame rates and stability, the studio is collaborating hand in hand with engineering teams at Unreal Engine and NVIDIA.
Unreal Engine China Technical Director Wei Liu stated that the teams have optimized Tides of Annihilation by identifying key CPU and GPU bottlenecks. By refining the game’s animation and gameplay logic pipelines, the collaborative effort successfully slashed computational overhead.

Tides of Annihilation Lead Technical Artist Kai Yuan noted that they used Unreal Engine’s Naninte-based setup for "Giant Knight" encounters. The system uses automated collision and shadow optimization to maintain crisp texture fidelity during fast movement without sacrificing performance.
Meanwhile, NVIDIA is delivering deep performance analysis and driver-level optimizations to maximize the game’s DLSS and path-tracing capabilities. This guarantees a smooth, cinematic experience for players across a broad range of hardware configurations.

First revealed during the February 2025 PlayStation State of Play, Tides of Annihilation immediately captivated fans with its high-octane combat and Arthurian aesthetics. Following its initial gameplay trailer, players are now eager to learn more about the upcoming dark fantasy title.
Tides of Annihilation is tentatively scheduled to launch in 2026 and is currently being developed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games. To stay up to date with the latest information about the game.
