Nintendo just announced that starting this early June 2026, players can avail the Nintendo Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle promo at participating retailers. The latest offering will be priced at $499.99 following the console’s price increase announcement on May 8.
Aside from the Nintendo Switch 2 system, the bundle includes a digital download code for one of three selectable titles: Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, or Pokemon Pokopia. According to Nintendo’s official blog post, the limited-time bundles offer savings of up to $29.99 compared to purchasing the console and game separately.
Mario Kart World
The three games on offer are among the highest-rated Nintendo Switch 2 exclusives available right now. Mario Kart World sees a major revamp to its gameplay with its robust new open-world direction, allowing players to race everywhere in its massive map solo or with friends via its seamless online co-op.

Donkey Kong: Bananza
Donkey Kong: Bananza, released on July 17, 2025, was the second 3D Donkey Kong entry since 2013, with a clear evolution in its platforming and exploration thanks to its ambitious open-world shift. It sees the return of Donkey Kong alongside a younger version of Pauline, whom many recognize from the 1981 game.
It became one of the highest-rated Nintendo Switch 2 games of all time. In our Game8 review, we praised its inventive level design and its mechanically addictive gameplay that revels in sheer destruction, resulting in a score of 94/100. While its price tag of $70 remains pricey, it makes up for its wide breadth of content and replay value, offering hours upon hours of platforming fun.
Pokemon Pokopia
Meanwhile, the newly released Pokémon Pokopia puts a unique spin on the Pokémon formula with an Animal Crossing-inspired twist, trading the familiar turn-based battles for a sandbox spin-off. It follows the shapeshifting Pokémon Ditto in its quest to rebuild a desolate island into a sanctuary for its friends.
And just like cozy delights of Animal Crossing, we praised Pokopia’s gameplay loop, calling it "very addictive" in our review. Its time-gated progression and repeated dialogue can sour the experience, but there is an endless amount of content to be had to keep you invested for hours on end.
Nintendo Announces Price Increase for Nintendo Switch 2
The newly announced Nintendo Switch 2 gaming bundles followed Nintendo's recent price increase for its hybrid console on May 8. In the United States, the console’s original $449.99 price tag was raised by $50, bringing the cost of a single Nintendo Switch 2 system to $499.99.
According to Nintendo, the sudden price hike was due to "changes in market conditions." The company also stated in its official press release, stating, "We sincerely apologize for the impact these price revisions may have on our customers and other stakeholders, and we deeply appreciate your understanding."
Following the announcement, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa, in a recent Q&A, as translated by Nintendo Patents Watch on Bluesky, assured fans that the company "will prepare a robust software lineup to enhance the Switch 2 ownership value."
Nintendo’s upcoming lineup of exclusive first-party games, such as the new PvE-focused Splatoon Raiders, Rhythm Heaven Groove, and the Star Fox Remake, is set to release sometime this Summer. Moreover, with the annual Summer Game Fest 2026 fast approaching this June 5 to 8, Nintendo might surprise players with more upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 games for the packed holiday season.
In the meantime, players can still purchase a Nintendo Switch 2 console at its original price before the official price change takes effect on September 1, 2026, making it an ideal opportunity for non-Switch 2 owners to take advantage of the upcoming summer bundles.
