Yasmine Joins the Roster on August 3

Yasmine will officially join the SF6 lineup on August 3, 2026. She will be the first of four Year 4 characters to be released, and the first Filipino and Pacific Islander character in the series.
According to Capcom’s official character profile, Yasmine is a shy and gentle high school girl from the Philippines who was taught to fight by her Lolo (grandfather) and brings her crescent-shaped karambit knife to the ring in search of her long-lost Kuya (older brother).
She is a fighter who can "dance around her opponents at high speed," which may suggest that she’ll be joining SF6’s list of characters with a dance-based fighting style alongside Jamie, Elena, Dee Jay, and Manon.

Her weapon, a karambit knife, is typically used in the rhythmic national Filipino martial art, Arnis. Also known as eskrima or kali, arnis is best known for its use of wooden sticks. Josie Rizal, Tekken’s own Filipino character, similarly uses eskrima in her fighting style.

Yasmine’s pink hair and colorful clothing have also caught the attention of many SF6 fans on social media, who praise her character design for being cool and interesting.
Her cropped top, loose pants, and waist wrap blend traditional Filipino elements with modern streetwear by incorporating the colors and sun emblem of the Philippine flag, while her belt spells out "Pilipinas" in Baybayin, an ancient Philippine script.
The Eagle-shaped karambit knife she carries is decorated with a feather charm, perhaps pointing to the Philippines’ national bird, the Philippine Eagle.

Newcomer Arjun will be released next in Autumn 2026 as the second Year 4 fighter, followed by the much-awaited Tifa Lockhart early in 2027, then Bosch in his first playable series appearance in Spring 2027.
