Starsand Island is set to exit Early Access and enter Version 1.0 on August 18th, ushering in a new era for the cozy life simulator title.

Exits Early Access on August 18th
Starsand Island’s Version 1.0 is launching on August 18th, 2026, at 5 AM PT / 8 AM ET, exiting out of Early Access on Steam and the Xbox Preview and bringing the full experience. Simultaneously, it will also release on the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Pre-orders for the physical copy of the game for the two consoles are also available starting today, July 31st.
Version 1.0 will bring in a fully functional online multiplayer experience for up to four players, new relationship content for both NPCs and love interests, and the seasonal Autumn Pumpkin Carnival to celebrate.

Multiplayer Proves That The More The Merrier
One of the largest additions to the game is the full online multiplayer function, allowing a squad of up to four players to explore the island, battle down ferocious monsters in the ruins, go fish along the coastal waters, build the ideal homestead, and more.
In turn, all players will gain exclusive currency that can be used for unique rewards in the multiplayer shop. As of writing, there are no details as to what these rewards will entail or what specific activities will net this currency.
Expanded Relationship Content With More Islanders
Character interactions will be expanded, adding new three-heart and five-heart relationship quests to over 19 NPCs, allowing for stronger bonds and more rewards as the connection flourishes.
Of course, romanceable characters are not out of the loop. The 14 love interests will also see new content in their relationship questlines and dating activities, such as arcade dates, kite flying, picnics, and more, adding more enrichment and immersion to each relationship.
Welcoming Autumn With A Pumpkin Carnival
Topping it all off is the introduction of seasonal events, starting with the Autumn Pumpkin Carnival. It will feature a unique storyline and event-exclusive quests, as well as fun festival activities such as growing festival pumpkins, catching glowing jellyfish, and feeding animals special food to produce candy, presumably for quests or to turn in for rewards.
Additionally, actively participating in the event will give players seasonal rewards, including exclusive cosmetics such as autumn-themed outfits and makeup, and collectibles like emotes, food recipes, furniture, and more that have yet to be revealed.
An Idyllic Seaside Island Life
Starsand Island is a cozy farm simulation title by Seed Sparkle Lab set on the eponymous island with direct inspiration from the Chinese countryside and traditional Eastern philosophy. The player character, tired of their stressful urban lifestyle, returns to their hometown of Starsand Island to begin a new life. It features a dynamic seasonal cycle that helps shape daily life on the island, deep pastoral and farming systems to create a fun and engaging environment, and a variety of relationship mechanics with the NPCs on the island.
The game currently holds a "Very Positive" review score on Steam out of almost 2.5K English reviews, with many players praising its "real" cozy life sim mechanics and customization.
