Spyro: A Realm Beyond Revealed in Xbox Games Showcase 2026!
Releasing Spring 2027
After 9 long years since the remake of the original trilogy, everyone's favorite purple dragon finally returns in Spyro: A Realm Beyond! In Xbox Wire's exclusive interview with Toys for Bob Studio Head, Paul Yan, it is confirmed that the game will be a continuation to his adventure and will serve to showcase the purple dragon growing up from his past iterations. Yan also confirms that Spyro's original voice actor, Tom Kenny, is also returning to reprise his role.
The Skies Are Yours
As if the release date wasn't enough, a short clip of its gameplay in Alpha was also revealed right after. In it, Spyro is now fully capable of flight and is able to shoot fireballs mid-flight, compared to the older titles where he is only able to glide for a short amount of time. The footage suggests a fully open-world game where flight and exploration will be key to its gameplay loop, and might have more than meets the eye.
